The Life You Want Will Disappoint Some People
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the only thing standing between you and the life you truly want... is your fear of disappointing other people?
In this deeply personal episode of Relentlessly Authentic, Rachael & Gaby open up about one of the hardest lessons of their own journey: learning that choosing yourself will sometimes mean disappointing the people who expected you to stay the same.
Leaving behind familiar chaos isn't easy.
Neither is walking away from expectations you've spent your whole life trying to meet.
But sometimes the greatest act of self-love is having the courage to stop living a life that no longer belongs to you.
In this episode, Rachael shares the raw, emotional reality of rebuilding your life from the inside out—and why grief, fear, and uncertainty are often signs that you're growing, not failing.
Together, we'll explore:
• why people-pleasing keeps you disconnected from your authentic self
• how to stop carrying guilt for choosing your own happiness
• navigating judgment without abandoning your truth
• creating boundaries that protect your peace instead of your image
• trusting your intuition when everyone has an opinion
• why discomfort is often the doorway to your next chapter
• transforming pain into purpose instead of letting it define you
• finding freedom by releasing the stories that no longer fit
This isn't a conversation about having all the answers.
It's about finding the courage to stop asking everyone else for permission.
Because the truth is...
Not everyone will understand your healing.
Not everyone will celebrate your growth.
And not everyone is meant to come with you into your next chapter.
But the woman waiting on the other side of that decision?
She's worth every uncomfortable conversation.
If you've been feeling stuck, torn between who you've always been and who you know you're becoming, let this episode be your reminder:
You weren't born to spend your life making everyone else comfortable.
You were born to become fully, unapologetically yourself.
And that kind of freedom is always worth the risk.

Welcome back, Gav. I think this is our first night podcast. Yeah. We see like the darkness in the background.
SPEAKER_00Your tired mom's jobs. For once, my room is light, and your room is like, what do you call it? Like dark. Yeah, like a dungeon. Opposite. Yeah. Yeah. I know this is cutting into your beauty rest.
SPEAKER_01No, just my the dinner time. But I'm glad we got to connect as always. And it always leaves me a little feeling better once we talk, honestly. And I hope that's how the listeners feel after listening to the podcast.
SPEAKER_00I'm sure they do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm sure they do. So, Gabs, any updates you want to give on anything before we kind of talk, or or do you want to just go roll right in?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I think that today, so so today I drove back from the bay. It was like my very last trip out there to get my car and get all my stuff and have like stuff everywhere. But leaving home, like I pretty much cried the entire way over here. Um I just was getting like lots, so many flashbacks of my kids being young and like us just being family and stuff. And then yesterday, my kids were definitely in their feelings. They like did not leave my side all day long. We went to do laundry and they went with me. I went to get my nail done, went with me. I went to the tire shop with my other son, and my other two kids were just like, I want to go with you, I'm just gonna stay with you. And they just stayed with me all day long. So I definitely, and I have a picture of my son, Valentino, like me sitting at a we were went to a burger place, and I was sitting there and he was like hugging me on my waist with his head like this. And I said, Are you gonna miss me? And he just kind of looked at me and got a little, you know, teary eye, and he said, No, you're gonna miss me. And I said, Yeah, I'm gonna miss you. And anyways, driving Obi Kir, I just felt like there's been a lot of pressure on me, you know, to do things. And like I've been asked by, you know, my dad and his wife if I felt like God was happy with me with the way I'm choosing to go about this. And yeah, and I thought about it for a minute because I wanted to respond respectfully.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I thought, yeah, I think God is happy with me. But more importantly, I'm happy with me. And but that left a lot of like thoughts, right? That left a lot of shadows came up, right? Yeah. And driving away from home today, leaving the kids behind, definitely felt like a lot of feelings from when I was incarcerated, you know, when I left my kids behind, like a lot of those feelings came. And I kept telling myself, like, you're not abandoning your kids, even though it feels like you're abandoning your kids.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But what I the message I got after like just crying and, you know, seeing the road and seeing the sun and just everything was that this is an opportunity for everybody to grow, including myself, obviously, first and foremost. But it's an opportunity for my kids to appreciate me, to value me, to see me, to see everything I've done for them and everything I'm not going to be able to do anymore. And they can kind of with that at face value for themselves. It's an opportunity for them to become independent, for them to do things for themselves, for them to be pushed to their limits, to grow as human beings and see the lesson in all of this. It's an opportunity for their father to face his demons, to, you know, learn to be a dad, you know, learn to kind of like be a full-time dad, right? And kind of step into that role. And it's a an opportunity for my dad too, to maybe see that his fears are not his the fears he's projecting onto me are not my responsibility to carry, nor is it gonna be the narrative in my life, right? Because I am not my mom and my kids are not us. So they're not gonna turn out like us. And I think it, I think as a Scorpio, we we push a lot of people, we're mirrors, we're mirrors, and we are all about transformation and we really push people to see themselves through us. And I think that's what this is all about, is like I'm a walking mirror. And as I face these different people, you know, different ages, different genders, whatever it is, they see themselves in what I'm doing. And they're not able to realize that right now. But I do think that as everything plays out, they're gonna be forced to have to deal with whatever demons they're carrying or whatever shadows they're carrying. And I'm just doing this walk for them. And so many other women, so many other women that are in situations that they don't want to be in, right? That are in relationships that are very, very hard to leave, you know? And so many situations where we abandon ourselves. We abandon ourselves because we feel that this is the right thing to do, because that's what society or religion or our family or whatever has stored in our minds, right? And I thought that's so cool. That's so cool that like I so when they told me like if I thought God was happy with me, that was very offensive, actually. Of course, it was very offensive. And I had no question. I was like, yeah, God's happy with me. Like I'm making a decision that makes you uncomfortable. That doesn't mean God is unhappy with me. And I'm not hurting anybody by making the decision. I'm a good person. I am a good person. I am in a line of work where I really like to be of service and hold space for others. And do I make mistakes? Yes, I do. We all do. You're a human, but that doesn't leave room for anybody to ask that question.
SPEAKER_01And right, it's a back-handed, a back-handed, like slight. You know what I mean? It's a back-handed way of getting their point across.
SPEAKER_00And I know this is this is gonna be very like uh controversial, but like this is a perfect example of like how some people walk with God, go to church and stuff, and are still passing judgment.
SPEAKER_01And I feel like that's what I understand. So I feel like that would be fun to pick someone's brain. But I think the religion is drenched in judgment, right? It's drenched in right and wrong, good and bad. You're either doing right and you're in God's love, or you're doing wrong and you're gonna go to hell. I mean, it's very black and white, and in my opinion, I don't think anything is really black and white, right? I think life is actually a gray and very-based.
SPEAKER_00Correct. It's all fear-based. And just to end this little thing, I don't really fear anything, you know. I don't really fear anything because I do believe that as long as I'm a good person and I'm trying to do good in this world and I'm trying to lead with love and compassion for myself and others, everything's just a lesson. And we need to find beauty in that. Even in the hardest of days, even today, when I was crying, like I was crying the entire way, and my mom kept calling me and she's like, Are you gonna be okay? Are you gonna be okay? You need to focus on the road. I'm like, I'm gonna be fine. I'm just grieving, you know. I'm just allowed to be sad. This version of myself, this version of myself is gonna be gone as of today, you know. And in a couple hours, I'm gonna be somebody else and I'm just grieving through this, you know. I'm gonna miss my kids. I'm gonna, you know, I'm but it's gonna be okay. Yeah. It's gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_01I just don't, but I'm just not okay right now because these emotions are here, right? And that's okay. It's I think again, where you are when our emotions are heavy or hard or uncomfortable for others, it's like they want to make your like make you feel better because it's something that they control because your emotions essentially make them uncomfortable, right? Just like you were saying earlier, like your decisions make can make people uncomfortable, your behavior can make people uncomfortable. You're no, your emotions make people uncomfortable. And when people are uncomfortable, they're dealing with their own discomfort of themselves, of what that uncomfort they, the story they tell and make mean and what they feel from that story, that you become the conduit for those thoughts, feelings, behaviors based on kind of like what they're interpreting your energy from. But it's essentially them dealing with them, right?
SPEAKER_00It's like there's something missing in them that they see in me that is triggering them. Correct. And because it's triggering them, they're gonna project all their fears onto me. And when I was able to like come to terms with that, it really released a lot of the anger and a lot of the the well, anger and disappointment and sadness that I felt towards anybody telling me you're wrong and you're doing it wrong or whatever, you know, really releasing, and I'm like, it's okay, you know, they're just scared. Yeah, they're just scared. They're but I'm not scared. Right. I know what I'm doing and and this is this is what I'm doing, you know.
SPEAKER_01And that's powerful, and that's freedom, Gabby. Right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01To feel like you are free to live by your own truth, your own heart, your own soul. No one's swaying you in that conviction, and you don't fear the same things they're going through, which only I think sometimes makes them more upset or angry. You know what I mean? Because they're not going to sway you. So they now have to sit with the discomfort of your decision that they don't like.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And especially because I've always been that person, right? That like my my mom or my dad said no. So I should, I should do as they say, right?
SPEAKER_01Because they know best, because they are my And I think it's very much of like a woman, that's very, I think, in the Especially when it comes to my dad, right?
SPEAKER_00Especially when it comes to like he's such a I still like I've been able to work on it more where I can speak up and be like, no, no, no, I don't agree with that.
SPEAKER_01But I still find myself like, you know, like of like walking that line of like what's respectful, what's not worth arguing or giving my energy to, and what's something where I just am gonna stick to my boundary of like, no, and like also sticking up from myself. But it's so, it's so nuance, Gabby, too, because I feel like again, your energy gets triggered, their energy gets triggered. There's miscommunication. It's like you have to be so regulated in order to deal with situations in a calmly manner. Because if you're not regulated right, the prefrontal cortex shuts down. So, like your logical makes sense of a situation mind leaves, and it's the emotional brain that takes over. So I think it's a again, a very big kudos or celebration to you that you're able to see and have the awareness of they're scared for me. That's not gonna hold anything over my head in terms of who what the decisions I'm going to make. But I still love and care about them and know that I have to communicate, live with my dad, like find some middle ground instead of just being like, I'm leaving, right?
SPEAKER_00Like you still have to there's been connect.
SPEAKER_01Like there's still like you're still trying to connect and find common ground, despite the fact that like you completely maybe I don't want to put words in your mouth, I'm trying to give him grace.
SPEAKER_00Yes. You know, I'm trying to give him grace. And I believe grace is giving grace means giving people grace even when they don't deserve it. And that's I'm giving him grace because I see him, his wife, even my kid's dad, you know, whatever. I almost see like I have this way of being able to see them like little kids, you know, who are who were missing something, right? Or like the version of my dad that was that did go through stuff. He went he went through so much. He went through so much poverty. Maybe one day I can talk about it, you know. He he was on the streets, you know, and that's how they lived for a long time.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, they're scared for you.
SPEAKER_00And I see my kids' dad the same way, like there's still that little boy that wants that motherly nurturing, you know. And when you are able to see people through that, it really releases any ill feelings you have for them. But it then there's that's that I will say is kind of like a double-edged sword because then it if you're not careful, it opens the door for them to take full advantage of that, you know.
SPEAKER_01Right, because then it plays into your people pleasingness, right? You also have a, and I think this is where dynamic and energy be is so fucking interesting and patterns because then their behaviors are playing into your dynamic of I'm a people pleaser, I'm gonna fawn just to make them happy because it makes my life easier when they're not emotional, right? So if I can control and shape shift myself and what my truth is and what I want to keep them happy and pleased, then I'm safe because I don't have to deal with their emotion, their anger, their disappointment, their behavior. So it's again you can trying to control and keep yourself safe, but you're not in that, you're not that person anymore, Gap. So now you're coming to the dynamic in a completely new energy and a new identity, but they're still coming in in the old identity. And that's where I think a lot of the friction is. Well, I'm interrupting this episode for something really exciting because I'm officially opening the applications for the abundance activation retreat in Greece. And honestly, this is gonna be such a fucking vibe. I'm so excited. I'm so excited about the women who are already joining. Uh, so if you are a soul who has been craving expansion, softness, adventure, sisterhood, healing, abundance, and a deeper connection to your feminine energy, this is your sign to join the vibe tribe in Greece. This is a seven-day yoga, Pilates, feminine embodiment retreat through the Greek islands for the woman who's tired of holding her entire life together through stress, pressure, overthinking, and survival mode, and is ready to step into a completely different energy. Because abundance isn't something you hustle for, it's something you open yourself up to receive. We'll move our bodies overlooking the sea, regulate our nervous system, dance under the stars, and have bougie boat days, deep conversations, incredible freaking Greek food, beach clubs, sunsets, healing, laughter, and the kind of experiences that generally change you forever. Because sometimes you don't need another tool, technique, or strategy, you need a new environment, you need a moment to pause, a new frequency, a new energy to help remind you of who you really are. After my first time in Greece, everything really shifted for me, not just externally, but internally. I trusted myself more, I trusted the universe more, I stopped forcing life so hard. I felt supported, guided, and deeply connected to creation, possibility, and magic. And that's exactly the energy, the vibe of this retreat. So you've been waiting for a sign to stop playing small, to start going after what you truly want, to start saying yes to your next big level, then this is it. You can apply or reach out to me via Instagram for more information. I seriously cannot wait for this experience and to experience this magic with you.
SPEAKER_00And and I I'm laughing because actually my dad told me the other day before I left back home. He sat me down and we talked for like three hours with his wife and stuff. And I was we were just kind of going in circles, you know.
SPEAKER_01And he said, Was it calm, Gabby, or is it like emotionally charged?
SPEAKER_00No, it's calm. Okay. But I towards the end of the conversation, I was definitely starting to get irritated. Like, because at the end they said that to me when they said that they asked me. It was his wife actually that asked, Do you think God is happy with you? And that triggered me. But he said to me, Ever since you did that coaching program, you have changed so much. You are an entirely different person. I don't like who you've become.
SPEAKER_01And Gab, Gab. No, are you still with me, Gab? Okay, I thought you were frozen. Yeah, yeah. Oof, that's that's rough, Gab.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And I was like, that's what this is all about, you know.
SPEAKER_01Because now you're growing and you can't, you won't let them back you into a corner and you stick up for yourself. So now you're a problem. So now they don't like you. You're not as easy to deal with because you're not a pushover and you won't just do what everyone wants you to do. Right. This is, and I know, Gab, like I feel like your fallout right now with your family is not the same, but similar to a bit of the fallout I had with my family as well. Not this, not the same, not the kind of like the religious aspect, I feel like. But also I can see this kind of with my friends. I've had a lot of fallout where like I don't have half of the people in my life anymore that I used to.
SPEAKER_00Do they tell you that you're different?
SPEAKER_01I don't think they have the enough awareness to say that. It's just that I think it's I show up differently, right? And I mean, I think my husband would say this, but like he was open that he knew he needed to grow too. So he did not take that in the defense. He took that as like a, I better, I'm gonna step up, right? It's like because they, you know, every, you know, we all kind of knew that I was stuck. I started to do the work to unstuck, get unstuck and unfuck myself. And then I could communicate and then I could show up and then I did have something to say, and then I would do what I wanted, regardless of how anyone else felt about it. But I could communicate through that. So then once I kind of hit that level, that means that the other person had to rise to that level to now to meet me. Because again, like you said, Gab, your fear starts to go away when you have a trust in yourself and you have a trust in something greater that faith is gonna catch you, that the world is gonna catch you if you keep trusting yourself and doing and following your heart and following your soul. So, like the manipulation no longer works the way that it used to. And that makes people uncomfortable because you're not the same person showing up to the dynamic.
SPEAKER_00It's like, it's like I'm walking in my power and I'm basically saying, let me show you what it looks like to show up for yourself. This is what it showed, this is what it's like. And you know, yeah, this is this is a I'm l living proof right now that this is a perfect example of what it's like to make people uncomfortable just for being me. Yeah, you know, and it's sad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is and this chapter is going to be sad, Gab, but this chapter is not gonna last forever, right? This is the first little chapter in your new book of your transition, but this chapter won't last forever. It's very uncomfortable right now, but it won't last forever. And that story will change. It's just uncomfortable because you're making people feel uncomfortable with how strong you're getting and how powerful you're getting. And that makes them uncomfortable until they start saying, you know, you were right to do this. I'm really proud of you. You've come a long way. You've inspired me. Once things start to flow and work themselves out, that story will start to change. It's just you're in the thick of it. And it's really fucking, you've had a tough few years, but I feel like I'm only maybe a year or two. This was like a year or two ago for me, or three years ago for me. So I'm like, Gab, like it will get better. Keep fucking going. But you're in the part of the healing where like you're breaking out of, like, you're becoming the butterfly, right? Like, and you're in the midst of fucking like spreading your wings and like owning your shit. And all this other shit has to fall away. All the chaos has to go because it's it your vibration is changing, who you are is changing, and that ever people are either gonna like an avalanche, get you know, get tell you much.
SPEAKER_00Like there has been there have been people that literally in the last couple months, like I used to go to the gym with this woman like every weekend, and now all of a sudden she hates my guts for no reason, for no reason. Yeah, like her, like this this guy can't even pronounce my name because it's like, how dare you say her name, you know? And it's like, what did I do? Like, I have done nothing. I don't even like I don't even talk to her much anymore. But I like I went from going to the gym with her on the weekends and and like hanging out to all of a sudden, like, you want nothing to do with me. Like, I'm the worst person in the world. Like, what did I do? You know? And she like won't communicate anything with you? No. And he he's like, This person like hates you with a passion, crazy passion. And I'm like, wow, my my daughter's like, she's like, Wow, you should be proud of yourself. She's like, That person's like super jealous of you. Yeah, you must be doing something right, you know? My youngest daughter's telling me that, and I'm like, no, this isn't
SPEAKER_01No, it doesn't feel good now, Gab, because amidst everything else, like you've got it's all happening at once. And it doesn't feel good. It will start to feel good when you know that that's exactly what's happening. And that person who's a hater will become a lover maybe in two years, right? But because you're a mirror right now and you're showing people that change is possible, that change can happen, that they can do it too, that you can change your circumstances and your life. I think so.
SPEAKER_00And I think it has a lot to do with me moving, like all of like I've had several people tell me, like, bro, bro, like what you're doing is is hella gutsy. It is. Like you're literally moving and like you have nothing over there. Like you have nothing, you don't have no apartment, you don't, you didn't even have a job, you didn't have nothing. You just said, This is what I'm doing, and I'm doing it. Yeah. That is super like ballsy. Like, how do you do that? And I'm like, I don't know. My intuit my intuition just told me like that's just what I need to do. And they're like, really? I was like, Yeah, the universe said this is what you need to do. The message was loud and clear, and I'm like, okay, I give my bag. See you later. And they probably they probably they come insane, you know?
SPEAKER_01But again, like you have to you're delusional until right. And like I read this great quote, Gabs. It was like the delusional only means that you don't believe in the illusion. And that's what I think also makes people uncomfortable. Why do you want to live in the illusion and the matrix that we fucking made up when it's not really real? So you can either decide to stay where you are, or you can start to believe in your own fucking delusions and do the work. Yeah, and also like it's not just, it's not just, it's not just what's the word looking for? Subject to us, right? No, you're a human, you have a soul, you have a heart, you can do the work, you can believe better thoughts, you can start to think and rewire your subconscious, you can work through your trauma and your shit, you can figure out what you want to do, you can listen to your heart, but it's gonna be hard and it's gonna be fucking fabulous. And you're gonna glow up and you're gonna love yourself a whit a whole lot fucking more than you do right now. You're gonna stop giving so many fucks, which I will say also lowers your anxiety and stress level in terms of your own internal world. But that doesn't mean stress and life doesn't, things don't happen. You're you know, you're living that right now. But things sometimes get worse before everything starts to get better. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I do believe that. And like I said before, I do believe this is like one of those tower moments, you know, where where everything is just kind of like it started crumbling slowly and now it's just all crashing down, you know? And I feel like I'm getting to over that little, like I'm at the top of that hill where I'm like beginning to like, okay, I have a I have a couple jobs now. Like I'm I'm moving, starting to move along, you know, to to the other side. And I just keep telling myself, like, anything worth it, worth is hard, right? Anything worth it is hard. Anything worthwhile is hard. Like things are not just gonna come easy, you know, when you especially when you've carried so many people, right? When you've carried so many people your entire life, when you've done for so many people, you know, there is gonna be, and even with my kids, remember a couple of weeks ago, I was telling you, like they were all feeling a certain kind of way because me leaving is a huge inconvenience in their life, you know? So it's inconvenience them where now they're kind of like, even my younger daughter, she was telling me yesterday when her dad was telling, was saying, you know, like, or the day before yesterday, I remember what day it was, he was like making comments, but you're leaving your entire family, you're abandoning your family, you're abandoning your kids. And I was like, No, I'm not. And I was arguing with him, right, about it. And my daughter grabbed my hand and she's like, Mommy, just ignore him. Look at me. She's like, Look at me. You're not abandoning me. You're choosing yourself and you're choosing to start a new life, and I'm okay with that. She's like, I just don't want to go right now, but I will be there later. Don't listen to him, don't let him make you feel bad. And that for me, like changes everything, you know, like it doesn't. I think that was those moments when and they've all taken turns, but they've all come to that point where they're like, no, you go do you and show everybody what it looks like to do you, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And we will get there when we're ready. We will be there with you when we're ready. We will be there for the grand finale.
SPEAKER_01And I think that's a fair way of saying it, Gab. Like they're you're doing this because you're ready and not everyone else is ready. But I think it's also fair that they also will get there. You're just disrupting their everyone's environment right now before they're ready. And that's okay, right? You you're following what you need to do. You've did the timeline that you said you were gonna follow. But I do think that, like I said earlier, I think this is only the current story. It's not gonna be the real one. Right. Right. And like they will get there when they're ready. They just might need some more time. And your little daughter, that is so sweet. And I hope that makes you feel better. Because I I think I hope that story won't trigger you. Because if you know that that's not true, it's not even that's the story that's making him feel better. That's the story that's making him feel better. Because if it's your fault, then he doesn't have to look and point the finger inward. But everybody sees the cracks, right? It's just they have to catch up. And that might take a little while.
SPEAKER_00And I I honestly I came to the conclusion that, you know, he's there's been a few, a few people that he's told, well, he's told them his side of the story, right? Let's just say that. And my mom's like, well, you should go tell them and show up in this and tell them that that's not true and this is not true, and that's not right, that's not who you are. And I'm like, I've gotten to the point where I'm like, no, you don't have anything to prove. I'm not gonna do that anymore. Like, I'm not here to try and prove anything to anyone else. If people want to believe him and believe what he is saying, they can. Yeah, they can't. I'm not like I'm not giving that any energy, I'm not giving that any bandwidth anymore. That's literally. I have enough on my plate on already, and I'm very content with where I'm at and who I am right now, you know, and what I know very well what my mission is, and my head is in the game. I'm not gonna worry because worrying, let's remember, worrying is a waste of our imagination. And I am using my imagination to fucking manifest. That's what I'm using it. That's where it's at, right?
SPEAKER_01So, so I won't let this person and this bullshit that doesn't fucking matter bring me down because it doesn't matter because it's not true. If they want to focus on that, then they're wasting their own energy that they couldn't too. And that's I was talking to a friend the other day. Imagine taking your energy that you could use to better your own life. But instead of doing that, it's easier to focus on where you're fucking me over, to focus on bringing you down always, then having to actually do something that's gonna better off them. So they create their own fucking misery and have at it. Right. I'm no longer living in that place. I will no longer tolerate that. I'm moving forward. You're either coming with me or you're not. I'm not here to prove anything. I don't have to prove anything because guess what? I love me. I want me. I want what's best for me. I want what's best for the the the greatest all of everything. I want that for you.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00And at the end of the day, at the end of the day, like I told my mom, like, I'm happy with me, I'm content with me. Like, I don't feel no certain kind of way about who I am or the life I'm choosing to live. I've spoken to my kids and they all have my back. My sister has my back, my mom has my back. That's all that matters. That's all that matters. My children are the my number one priority. And if they have my back and they are telling me, mommy, you are not abandoning us. Like we see you, we see what you're trying to do, and we support you, nothing else fucking matters. Not my aunts, not my uncles, not not his family, not their friends, not friends. Because if all those people are gonna believe what he's saying, guess what? I don't want you in my life. Exactly. I don't want you in my life. If you're not here to celebrate me and what I'm doing, bye Felicia. You know, bye Felicia.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. And we have to, I think, at some point get to the point where we're that cutthroat, where it is a good thing to be a bit of a bitch, right? It is a good thing to be a little selfish, right? Because I no longer want any energy vampires sucking me down. And I have to at some point make it pretty fucking clist crystal clear. This is what my standard is. This is what I accept. This is what I expect from myself, and this is what I expect. And how do I expect to be treated from others if you're not able to reach this? I wish you all the best. I love you. I hope you but bye. No, I don't have time. I don't have time, I don't have energy. I'm focusing on me. People like I can help and support my loved ones, making money and living my best fucking life. And I want the same for you. Go with God. Yeah. The end. The end. Podcast done, mic dropped, finito. You're always, you're always the best. I'm God, but like, how awesome that like I don't know that we were. I just feel like it'd be a podcast, everything in life right now. Like, I the breakdown for humanity.
SPEAKER_00But what's going on in the world? Why are so many people getting divorced? Like, do you think people are just waking up? I asked this question yesterday and nobody could tell me because I've known one, two, like four different people that are just getting divorced. And I'm like, whoa, like what's going on? You know, what's going on?
SPEAKER_01I think it's the breakdown, right? I think people are waking up. I think honestly, and then I've I'm gonna run. But honestly, I I think here's my hypothetic. I think technology and social media is a good thing, actually. It's a tool. I think it's making people much more aware of where they are unhappy. I think it's also can be a bit a big thing to make you aware of where you can do your own work and what tools you can use to do that to make you a happier, healthier human being who follows their heart and trusts their soul. And I think raising that consciousness level of this entire fucking world is lifting us out of the fucking matrix that we essentially created for ourselves with our own conditioning. And I think as that consciousness level lifts and we live more from love and not fear, I think people are choosing to not stay in the shitty place that they're in and decide that they want more and better. And maybe people aren't meant to be together forever, but you learn your lessons, you grow together. Like, why does it have to be so fucking toxic and hostile? Everyone can go find another person who's going to be the person that they maybe need to learn their next lesson with. We I read that that thing on the last podcast we did. Not everyone's meant to be in your life for a full your whole life. That doesn't mean that they need to teach you something and guide you and help you to the next level that you are meant to be at. And you did the same for them. What a beautiful fucking gift. All right. Maybe that's all that was meant to be. Yep. Have you read uh A Court of Thorn, a Rose A Court of Thorn and Roses? Have you read this book?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Okay, highly recommend. I'm gonna send it to you. I just finished the last book, but it talks about like your mate, like finding your mate. That's like fairies and magical and all the sending it. I will send it to you. And if you can listen to it on Spotify, like on an audiobook for free. So on your longest traffic drives, I feel like it might give you something great to listen to.
SPEAKER_00What's it called? Text me the name of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, Court of Throne and Roses. But I don't know. I think we have soulmates. I think you could be a soulmate. I think our friends could be a soulmate. I think people we meet along the way could be a soulmate. I don't know if we always need to have one person. I don't know. Maybe our soul is meant to have something different at different times in life and to teach certain things and to guide us and to love us and to give us new perspectives and to just be a fucking human being to another person. I think that can come in many different forms. I think it can come from a coach, a lover, a person you meet, a conversation you have. Again, I think we all need to get out of our normal state of consciousness and put ourselves and pluck ourselves into new environments where we can grow and learn and evolve and be able to communicate and do it in a respectful manner and respect the person who was walking by your side and heal your fucking shit. And that's spirit is and have fun. And have fun and be a goddamn celebration.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the last few like not tarot cards. What are the other ones called? The oracle cards that I've gotten four times in a row is allow fun in your life, allow play in your life, allow again, play in your life, allow fun in your life, like lots of that.
SPEAKER_01I feel like the rest of the half of this year, like the planetary alignment is very much so of like play and fun and celebration and joy. I think for a lot of us who've been doing the work for a while, I think we're about to be granted a little bit of a reprieve from like the healing shit, and where life is gonna get pretty good. So hold on to that. I yes, and I think that's the oracle cards you're getting, Gab.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Well, I can't wait. I'm like, okay, bring it on, bring it, bring it on all in all shapes and forms and you know, and colors of the rainbow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, all of it, and all the opportunities, like give them to me, baby. And all the unexpected ways, maybe that they're gonna come, right? All the ways that we sometimes I think we put a box around how we think life is gonna go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because when I see play, I'm like right away, I'm like, it the picture that comes is like a playground. And I'm like, play, but no, there's so many different other ways of play. Like just it's like a metaphor, right? It just like play means like just don't be, don't take life so seriously, right? Like allow, just have fun and flow and I see this as like flirting with the universe.
SPEAKER_01That's how I picture play as more of an adult. I'm like, play is like flirting with the universe, right? Being in flow, being in your feminine, not taking yourself so fucking seriously, laughing, giggling, being silly, connecting with going outside and going on a walk and listening to music and dancing. It's the flow of life, right? It's getting into the flow. And I just love flirting with the universe and why I love me too. Me too and all the things.
SPEAKER_00All right, well, I'm gonna let you go.
SPEAKER_01I know you gotta go eat dinner. Thanks, babe. And then I do want to talk about the shadow self because I feel like you touched on it in the beginning of the episode. So we'll talk about that soon, maybe on the next podcast. Okay, love? Yeah, okay. Keep going. Congrats, welcome to your new fucking life.
